The law authorized the extension of the state of health emergency in 2021.

This Order provides for the creation of the Centre de Coordination des Opérations d'Urgences de Santé abbreviated to ‘CCOUSP’ (coordination center for health emergency operations).

The law creates a public administrative establishment, called the "Agence Nationale de Sécurité Sanitaire", under the supervision of the Ministry of Health. The mission of the Agence is to implement the strategic orientations of the Ministry of Health in the field of health safety.

The Code provides rules regarding different rears of public health as the prevention and control of communicable diseases; sanitation and housing; and food and water protection among other aspects.

This law provides the general framework for the action of the State in the area of health.
