The law authorized the extension of the state of health emergency in 2021.
The law creates a public administrative establishment, called the "Agence Nationale de Sécurité Sanitaire", under the supervision of the Ministry of Health. The mission of the Agence is to implement the strategic orientations of the Ministry of Health in the field of health safety.
The Public Health Act
This Act provides for the promotion, preservation and maintenance of public health with a view to ensuring the provisions of comprehensive, functional and sustainable public health services to the general public; and provides for other related measures.
Code de la Santé Publique
The Code provides rules regarding different rears of public health as the prevention and control of communicable diseases; sanitation and housing; and food and water protection among other aspects.
The Tsetse Control Act
This Act makes better provision for the control and prevention of the spread of the tsetse flies; and provides for matters incidental thereto.
