The law institutes a Social Protection Code in Burundi.

The Decree defines the normative framework for the organization and operation of the Ministry of Public Health and the fight against AIDS.

This law establishes a national health insurance Fund ("Caisse Nationale d'Assurance Santé").

This Decree provides for the definition of attributions of the Minister of Health and the organization of the Central Administration of his Department. The Decree also contains provisions regarding the organization of other departments of the Ministry of Health. The Decree sets out the terms of application of Law No. 2018-22 of April 27, 2018, determining the fundamental principles of Social Protection.

This Law amends the Law 03/2015 of 02/03/2015 governing the Organisation of Community-Based Health Insurance Scheme. Please refer to page 171 of the file to see the text of the Law.

This Order determines contributions to the community-based health insurance scheme, amounts of their contributions and modalities for their payment.

This decree modifies decree N°2016-598 providing for the organization of the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene. Changes relate to the creation of a new directorate for judicial affairs and litigation ("direction des affaires juridiques et du contentieux") under the Cabinet and the creation of a Directorate for Family, Mother and Children's health under the General Directorate for Health and Public Hygiene.

The law creates a compulsory health insurance scheme known as the "Régime d'Assurance Maladie Universelle" (Universal Health Insurance Scheme) designed to cover the health care costs attached to sickness and maternity for insured persons and their dependent family members.

The law establishes the fundamental principles of social protection in Niger. The purpose of the present law is to guarantee social protection to people at risk of vulnerability and vulnerable people in accordance with the National Social Protection Policy.

This Law amends the Law 03/2015 of 02/03/2015 governing the Organisation of Community-Based Health Insurance Scheme.

The National Social Security Fund Act

This Act establishes the National Social Security Fund and provides for its constitution, administration and other matters related to the Fund.
