Health Legislation

This Order provides for the creation, organization and operation of the program called the National Health Education Programme.

This Law amends Articles 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 31, 33, 36, 37, 38, 42, 45, 47, 51, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 65, 66, 80 and 86 of the Law No 2020-37 protecting the health of people in the Republic of Benin.

This Act repeals and replaces the Public Health Act of 1960, provides for the promotion, protection and improvement of public health and well-being in Sierra Leone, provides for the protection of individuals and communities from public health risks, provides for the prevention and control of the spread of infectious diseases, provides for local government and community participation in protecting public health, provides for early detection and prompt response to diseases and public health threats and provides for other related matters.

The purpose of this law is to organize the protection of the health of the population, and to define the obligations imposed on citizens in the event of communicable, non-communicable, contagious diseases or epidemics. It applies to any person living in the Republic of Benin or entering Benin territory.

This decree determines the conditions for the creation, approval, operation and control of reproductive health structures in application of the provisions of Article 12 paragraph 3 of Law No. 2003-04 of March 3, 2003 relating to the sexual and reproductive health.

This Law provides amendments to the provisions of Articles 17, 17-1, 17-2, 17-3, 17-4, 17-5, 17-6, 17-7, 19-1 of the Law No 2003-04 of 03 March 2003 relating to sexual health and reproduction.

This Decree provides for the conditions relating to the standards, skills, and ethics in matters of prescription and provision of services in reproductive health, as well as to the sale and administration of contraceptive products and authorized methods of contraception.

This Law contributes to the protection of the present and future generations from the devastating health, social and health effects of diseases affecting public health and in particular reproductive health in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. The Decree establishes the rules for implementing Law 34/2014, of December 31, on the Right to Information. It is applicable to the bodies and institutions of the State, direct and indirect administration, representation abroad, local authorities and also to private entities which, under the Law or by contract, carry out activities of public interest or which, in their activity, benefit from public resources from any source and have in their possession information of public interest.

The Public Health Act repeals, re-enacts, consolidates and amends the law relating to public health in Botswana.
