The National Civil Registration Act

This Act provides for the amendment and consolidation of the laws relating to the compulsory registration of citizens and non-citizens resident in Sierra Leone, provides for the issuance of identity cards, provides for the establishment of the National Civil Registration Authority responsible for the registration of births adoptions, deaths, marriages, divorces and nullities throughout Sierra Leone and provides for other related matters.

This Law establishes the organisation of the community-based insurance scheme.

The Law determines the organization, functioning and management of health insurance schemes in Rwanda.

The Registration of Persons Act

This Act harmonizes and consolidates the law on registration of persons; provides for registration of individuals; establishes a national identification register; establishes a national registration and identification authority; provides for the issue of national identification cards and aliens identification cards and for related matters.

This law establishes the universal health insurance scheme which covers for the insured and their dependents the access to health services in the public and private sector (except for accidents at work and occupational illnesses). It was later amended by Law n°12-2023.

The law creates the legal framework for civil identification and the issue of national identity cards. The purpose is to collect, process and store the personal data of each citizen in order to establish their civil identity. The law applies to acts of civil identification and the issuing of identity cards to Angolan citizens from the age of at least six.

National Registration Act

This Act provides for the registration of persons and registration of births, marriages and deaths of persons and provides for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto.

The law institutes the Compulsory Health Insurance scheme in Mali. Its purpose is to cover the health care costs inherent in sickness and maternity for insured persons and their dependent family members. The law defines the beneficiaries, the guaranteed benefits, the conditions of coverage, affiliation and registration, and financial organization, among other aspects.

This decree creates and adopts a strategic plan for the permanent registration of children in maternity wards in Hospitals and Health Centers and in Civil Registry Offices.

The law regulates civil status in Togo. It was published in the Official Journal on 30 June 2009 (pages 6 to 11).

National Identity Register Act, 2008 Act 750

The National Identity Register Act of 2008 provides for the capture of personal information by individuals by the National Identity Authority for the issue of national identity cards; for the protection of the personal information; for conditions of access, use, retention and disclosure of information and for related matters.

This order, taken in application of the provisions of Law No 013/2007 of July 19, 2007, establishes a compulsory health insurance and social security system in the Gabonese Republic.

National Identity Management Commission Act

This Act provides for the establishment of a national identity database and the National Identity Management Commission charge with the responsibilities for maintenance of the national database, the registration of individuals, and the issuance of general multipurpose identity cards; and for related matters.

Lei No 12/2004 Aprova o Código do Registo Civil

The law approves the Civil Registration Code.

This Law establishes the Health Insurance Scheme for Government Employees in Rwanda. It also determines its functioning and beneficiaries.

Medical Schemes Act No 131 of 1998

The Act consolidates the laws relating to registered medical schemes; provides for the establishment of the Council for Medical Schemes as a juridical entity; provides for the appointment of the Registrar of Medical Schemes; makes provision for the registration and control of certain activities of medical schemes; protects the interests of members of medical schemes; provides for measures for the co-ordination of medical schemes; and provides for incidental matters.

Identification Act

This Act provides for the compilation and maintenance of a population register in respect of the population of Namibia, for the issue of identity documents to persons whose names are included in the population register; and for the matters connected therewith.

This Decree approves the Regulations of the General Social Security Regime.

National Registration Act

This Act provides provisions on the registration of persons resident in Botswana and provides for matters incidental thereto.
