This document provides a Sanitary Map of Sao Tome and Principe with the aim of achieving an efficient and equitable supply of health care.

The law regulates the legal framework for the exercise of private medicine.   

The present Statute applies to the Hospitals of the National Health Service and aims to establish general rules on their organization and operation.

This decree, taken in application of the provisions of articles 51 of the Constitution and 107 of Ordinance No. 0022/PR/2007 of August 21, 2007, establishes the technical operating procedures of the Compulsory Health Insurance and Social Security Scheme.

The Ordinance creates a public scientific and technological establishment, the Agence Nationale de Télésanté et d'Informatique Médicale (National Agency for Telehealth and Medical Informatics.). This decree, taken in application of the provisions of article 109 of Ordinance No. 01/95/PR/MSP of January 14, 1995, sets out the procedures for the care of patients in public health facilities.

The resolution approves the Charter of Patients' Rights and Duties.

The executive decree n° 06-339 of 2 Ramadhan 1427 corresponding to 25 September 2006 modifies the executive decree n° 94-187 of 26 Moharram 1415 corresponding to 6 July 1994 fixing the distribution of the rate of the social security contribution. This decree was published in the official journal of 27 September 2006 (see page 16).
