Local Government Act

This Act amends and consolidates the law relating to local government and provides for the matters connected therewith and incidental thereto.

The objective of Decree No. 21/99 is to establish the conditions, norms, and procedures for the practice of the pharmaceutical profession in Mozambique, ensuring compliance with technical, ethical, moral, and deontological principles.

Law No 12/99 Relating to the Pharmaceutical Art

This Law regulates pharmaceutical practice in Rwanda.

The Ordinance provides legislation governing pharmacy. The ordinance regulates the classification of medicines, the registration of medicines, the dispensing of medicines, dietary products, cosmetics, the rules for practicing the profession of pharmacist, the dispensing of medicines by doctors and other aspects.

The decree creates a technical-administrative division known as a health district for towns, departments, arrondissements and communes. The Health District is the local level for the design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of health policy.

Pharmacy Act, 1994 (Act 489)

The Pharmacy Act, 1994 is to revise the laws relating to pharmacy, to establish a Pharmacy Council, for the registration of pharmacies, the regulation and control of the practice of pharmacy, the distribution of pharmacies, the licensing of premises for pharmacies and to provide for related matters. This Act was repealed by the Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act, 2013 (Act 857), section 114.

The order M°154/MSP/CAB of 29 December 1994 provides the structure and mandate for the Departmental Directorate for Health ("Direction Departementale de la Santé"); this directorate represents the Ministry of Public Health at the level of the department or the urban community and participates in the elaboration, implementation and evaluation of the National Health policy ( providing the competence of the Department Direction for Health). The subdivisions of this directorate include an Executive Secretariat; an Administrative, Financial and Personnel Management Department; a Family Health Service; a Programming and Health Information Department; a Health Education, Hygiene and Sanitation Department; a Health Education, Hygiene and Sanitation Department; a Pharmacy and Laboratory Department.

This decree sets the modalities for registration on the register of the "Ordre National des Pharmaciens" (National Order of Pharmacists), the operation of the Order, the granting of authorizations to practice as a pharmacist in private practice.

This law provides for the National Order of Pharmacists and specifies its mandate and operating modes.

This Ordinance-Law establishes an Order of Pharmacists in the Republic of Zaire.

This law provides the rules to govern the profession of pharmacists.

Proclamation No 24 of 1984 The Pharmacy Act 60/1983

This Act regulates the practice of pharmacy in the country, establishes guidelines for the licensing, operation, and conduct of pharmacies, as well as regulates the sale and manufacture of pharmaceutical products.

Pharmacy Act No 53 of 1974

This Act consolidates and amends the laws providing for the establishment of the South African Pharmacy Board and for the training and registration of pharmacists, trainee pharmacists, pharmacy students, unqualified assistants and pharmaceutical technicians; provides for the control of the practice of the pharmaceutical profession; and provides for matters incidental thereto.

This Ordinance establishes a Code of Ethics for Pharmacists.
