Health Legislation

The law creates the "Ordre des Infirmières et Infirmiers" (The Order of Nurses), which is responsible for organizing and representing individuals and legal entities practicing nursing in Mali.

The law created the Order of Midwives (the Order of Midwives), which is responsible for organizing and representing individuals and legal entities practicing the profession of midwifery in Mali.

This Act makes provisions for the protection, promotion and preservation of public health, safety and welfare through regulation and control of nursing and midwifery education and practice.
