The objective of this law is to provide the rules relating to public hygiene and sanitation in rural and urban areas.

The law sets out the fundamental principles and rules for the organization and operation of the national public health system.

The Decree creates a Code of Ethics for pharmacists in Mali. The Code is applicable to all pharmacists who meet the legal and regulatory requirements and are registered with the Ordre des Pharmaciens (Order of Pharmacists).
