Medical and Dental Act

This Act provides for the establishment and constitution of a professional Council for the medical and dental professions; determines the powers, duties and functions of such Council; regulates the registration of medical practitioners and of dentists, and of persons practising certain professions allied to the medical profession or to the dental profession; specifies the education, training and qualifications of persons practising such professions; prohibits the practising of any such profession without being registered; and provides for matters incidental thereto.

Nursing Act

This Act provides for the establishment and constitution of a professional Council for the pharmacy profession; determines the powers, duties and functions of such Council; regulates the registration of pharmacists and persons practising professions allied to the pharmacy profession; specifies the education and training and qualifications of persons practising such professions; prohibits the practising of any such profession without being registered; and provides for matters incidental thereto.

Code of Medical Ethics in Nigeria

The law enacts the Code of medical ethics in Nigeria for every medical and dental practitioner.

Medical and Dental Practitioners Act

This Act establishes the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria for the registration of medical practitioners and dental surgeons and provides for a Disciplinary Tribunal for the discipline of members.

Nursing and Midwifery (registration, etc.) Act

This Act establishes the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria for the registration of nurses and midwives and State Nursing and Midwifery Committees, and provides for the discipline of nurses and midwives and other ancillary matters.

This Decree-Law approves the Statute of Medical Careers in Sao Tome and Principe.

The Nursing Council Act 2003

This Act repeals and replaces the Nursing Council Act of 1992 to make further and better provisions for the establishment, composition and functioning of a Nursing Council, to establish a disciplinary Tribunal and to better regulate and control the nursing and midwifery professions.

National Health Act No 61 of 2003

This Act provides a framework for a structured uniform health system within the Republic, taking into account the obligations imposed by the Constitution and other laws on the national, provincial and local governments with regard to health services; and provides for matters connected therewith.

These regulations establish the Health Professionals Council. The council has, among other things, the following attributions: advise the Minister; work in collaboration with the appropriate bodies, ensure that health professional training offered in the country is of high standard; make sure that professional ethics are observed by professionals; follow up and supervise that the names of registered professionals and those who are cancelled from the registry due to various reasons are properly kept by the secretariat.

Information and Communication Technologies Act

This Act establishes a legal framework for the regulation, development, and promotion of the information and communication technology sector, including provisions for electronic transactions, data protection and cybersecurity.

This diploma establishes the technical description of the different institutions of the National Health Service across the four levels of care, the classification and their specific functions. 

This Law repeals and replaces the 5th paragraph of the first paragraph and the 2nd paragraph of Article 20 of Law No 61-33 of 15 June 1961 relating to the general status of civil servants.

Health professions Act

This Act regulates and controls the practice of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and allied health professions, and provides for matters connected and associated therewith.

The Pharmacy and Drugs Act

This Act regulates the profession of pharmacy; controls the supply, manufacture, storage and transportation of drugs, including nutritional agents and cosmetics; and provides for other matters related thereto.

Código deontologico e de ética médica

The document approved the Medical Deontology and Ethic Code of Angola. It is a legal instrument that establishes principles and rules to be observed by all doctors in the exercise of their profession. The provisions of the Code apply to all doctors registered with the Angolan Medical Association.

The purpose of the law is the organization of pharmacy, whether for human or veterinary use.
