The Constitution of Kenya is a supreme law of the Republic of Kenya. It was adopted in 2010 and replaced the previous Constitution of 1963. The Constitution consists of 264 articles that are arranged into 18 chapters covering such issues as the bill of rights, organization of the state, separation of powers, electoral framework, etc.
This Act establishes the framework for the management of social health insurance; provides for the establishment of the Social Health Authority; gives effect to Article 43(1)(a) of the Constitution; and for connected purposes.
This Act gives effect to Article 31(c) and (d) of the Constitution; establishes the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner; makes provision for the regulation of the processing of personal data; provides for the rights of data subjects and obligations of data controllers and processors; and for connected purposes.
