Prevalence of smokeless tobacco (SLT) use among adults is known for 121 countries from different surveillance system. Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS), Euro Barometric Survey (EBS), and Demographic Health Surveys (DHS) provide information for age group 15+; for age group 18-64 mainly in WHO NCD Risk Factor survey (STEPs).

Prevalence of smokeless tobacco use, among school going adolescent aged 13-15 years is available for 106 countries, mainly from GYTS.

Prevalence of SLT use among different professional groups is also available in Global School Personnel Survey and Global Health Professions Student Survey.
