One of the most effective tools in protecting people from the effects of tobacco is the law. Governments and organisations around the world are making great progress in establishing and enacting laws to stop people getting sick, and to fulfil their obligations under the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control. But legal challenges by the tobacco industry pose a real threat to these laws, and a risk to the health of our communities.
