The Secretariat to the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC) requested the McCabe Centre for Law and Cancer to serve as a knowledge hub in relation to legal challenges to implementation of the WHO FCTC. The WHO FCTC Knowledge Hub on Legal Challenges assists the Convention Secretariat to facilitate the exchange of information and cooperation between Parties, and provides technical assistance within the McCabe Centre’s areas of expertise. The Knowledge Hub also conducts training and participates in relevant WHO FCTC meetings and missions, as appropriate. This website provides information for Parties on the Knowledge Hub and its areas of work.
The McCabe Centre is a joint initiative of the Union for International Cancer Control and its member organizations Cancer Council Victoria and Cancer Council Australia. It is based at Cancer Council Victoria in Melbourne, Australia, and receives funding support from the Australian Government, which assists it to perform its Knowledge Hub functions.
