Global Alert - Call for Assistance - Angola Cholera Response

Context:
Angola is experiencing a large-scale cholera outbreak, with 11,307 cases and 421 deaths reported by Ministry of Health as of 08 April 2025. The outbreak has spread to different provinces, including Benguela, Luanda, Cuanza, Norte, Bengo, Icolo e Bengo, Namibe and Malanje, with new cases reported daily. Notably, one-third of deaths occurring in the community and the highest burden among those under 20 years old (more information here).
 

EMT Sessions at the Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks (HNPW)

Join the Emergency Medical Teams sessions at the Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks - HNPW! On week 2 (09-13 May) of the HNPW, the EMT Network will be having face to face sessions to update member states, partners and networks on its current activities, emergency responses and the strategic direction of the Initiative and its Network. The sessions will be in Salle 14 of the International Conference Centre (CICG) in Geneva, Switzerland and will have the option for remote participation for those that are unable to join in person.
