The Bank's Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) 2009-2013 has been developed with the objective of assisting the new authorities' weather the global economic crisis and implement reforms that lead to tangible results in strategic development areas with a clear priority on issues pertaining to governance poverty alleviation and growth. The CPS also intends to assist Paraguay develop a consensus on the policy agenda to address long-standing structural challenges through programmatic analytical work and its dissemination. The strategy will cover the term of President Lugo CY-2009 to CY-2013
