Members of the WHO Global Network for Age-friendly Cities and Communities know that making our environments more age-friendly benefits not only older people, but people of all ages and abilities. That's why activities that bring generations together to promote greater understanding and respect are already being done by many Global Network members.
This year's Global Intergenerational Week highlights the links between intergenerational practice and the global age-friendly movement by dedicating Day 4 (27 April) to celebrating intergenerational spaces and communities.
Join the week's activities by:
1. Learning more about the resources, events, and opportunities available on the Global Campaign to Combat Ageism's website and from the week's organisers – including Connecting Generations, a practical 'how-to' guide on intergenerational practice
2. Submitting your Age-friendly Practices with an intergenerational component to the Global Database of Age-friendly Practices, and help the global community learn from your experiences
3. Explore the country leads who are supporting Global Intergenerational Week, and connect with them to share your experience at a local event or collaborate to develop your own intergenerational projects |
