Lesotho has utilized data from the 2018 Household Expenditure Survey to assess current levels of out-of-pocket (OOP) healthcare spending. According to a 2022 study, OOP health expenditure accounted for approximately 11.1% of total health expenditure in the 2018/19 fiscal year (Zbelo et al 2022).
