WHO/Europe Regional Course - Ship sanitation inspection and issuance of ship sanitation certificate Learning Programme, St Petersburg, Russia, 31 March-16 May 2014 (e-learning + face-to-face)

WHO/Europe organized a regional course on ship inspection and issuing of ship sanitation certificates, under the framework of the International Health Regulations – 2005 (IHR). The face-to-face training was held in St Petersburg, Russia, from 12 to 16 May 2014, in collaboration with the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human welfare service (Rospotrebnadzor) from Russia and under the scope and support of the European Union Contribution Agreement with WHO for “Strengthening Health Security at Ports, Airports and Ground Crossings”. The course provided training to port health officers from Albania, Azerbaijan, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russian Federation and Ukraine, following the WHO Learning Programme on ship inspection and issuance of ship sanitation certificates. The face-to-face course was conducted by the WHO team on Ports, Airports and Ground Crossings, as well as, international experts in russian and english languages with simultaneous interpretation.
