ECDC publishes its guidelines for surveillance of invasive mosquito species in Europe. The guidelines aim to assist the countries in implementing tailored vector surveillance of invasive mosquitoes. They should also help to improve surveillance coverage and harmonize data collection at EU level, so that data from different countries and areas can be compared.

WHO International Health Regulations activity report is released recently. The report covers the workings of the revised IHR framework, which covers not only infectious and foodborne diseases but also risks that can arise from chemical, nuclear and radiological events.
