SSCs on Naval and Coastguard vessels

Dear Colleagues,

Core Capacities Checklist and Experiences of Countries on Good Practices

Good Day,

I wish to seek the members feedback on the latest Checklist revised for assessment of Core Capacities at PoE. I saw a latest 2018 document which improved upon the list from 8 Core Capacities from 2009-10 onwards for assessment to now 13 Core Capacities with 25 indicators.

If any good practices has been carried out by your country and some states have done Voluntary Joint External Evaluation as per IHR-2005 which are in Public domain too. But some PoE Land, Sea, Air have different facilities and it will be helpful to share your best practices.

What institution is in charge of IHR application in Germany?

Hi!, I would like to know what is the institution responsible for IHR implementation and application in Germany?, and also, do anybody knows if there's a maritime-only agency in charge of that subject (like ANVISA in Brazil)

Danke!

New Challenge

Good day everyone,

Some of you will know this already but after over 17 years with Suffolk Coastal Port Health Authority, Felixstowe, UK, I will be leaving to take up a new Port Health challenge with the Government of Bermuda. As yet I do not know my new contact details but I still hope to have regular involvement with PAGNet and the many friends and colleagues I have within the Port Health Community.

Today is my last day in the Felixstowe office so if you send any emails to my scpha address, please note that these will no longer reach me.

Best Wishes,

Looking to give my experience working abroad

Hi, my name is Christopher Urena, I'm a medical doctor with more than 14 years of experience, mainly working for the Ministry of Health in Costa Rica, as a Director of a local office and in charge of +20 employees. I have a lot of experience on IHR and PoE because of my responsability as the main health port authority in the pacific coast (Caldera Port), and creator of the Contingency Plan and many other duties alike. I write this because I'm looking for an abroad working experience, to be able to give more and learn more, and although I know that this forum may not be for this kind of post
