79th WHA Individual Statements

Agenda Item:
- Group 10: Health Conditions (OPT & Golan)
Statement:

Honourable Chair, Distinguished delegates,

Speaking today on behalf of IPSF, representing more than 600,000 pharmacy students and recent graduates across over 100 countries, and as someone who shares the lived experience of displacement, IPSF stands in solidarity with all people and healthcare professionals affected by conflict.

To communities facing war, displacement, and disrupted access to care, please know that the global pharmacy community stands with you. We reaffirm that health, dignity, and access to essential medicines must always be protected.

IPSF calls for the protection of health facilities and healthcare professionals, unhindered humanitarian access, and the urgent restoration of essential and mental health services, in accordance with international humanitarian law.

Thank you.
