Agenda Item:
- Group 2: NCDs & Mental Health
Statement:

Honourable Chair, Distinguished delegates,

IPSF welcomes progress on NCD follow-up and mental health, and urges WHO and Member States to turn commitments into coordinated action. In April 2026, IPSF hosted the IPSF Model WHO, engaging over 100 participants from 50 countries to advocate for stronger integration of NCDs and mental health in global policy discussions.

Through 15 global and more than 100 local projects on NCDs and mental health, IPSF mobilises over 600,000 members across 100 countries to strengthen prevention, care, and health promotion, while helping localise global efforts. IPSF emphasises meaningful youth engagement within existing systems and decision-making processes, calling for inclusive collaboration and integrated approaches to improve health outcomes for all.

Thank you.
