mental health
●
systemic barriers undermine access to neurological care
●
treatment for substance use disorders, including alcohol disorders remain inadequate
●
mental health care should be integrated into emergency preparedness and response
efforts
To promote mental health we call on WHO to:
●
document and address the harms to mental health caused by commercial entities,
specifically the arms, big tech, commercial agriculture, banking and finance industries
●
invest in the Global Health for Peace Initiative and work towards ending conflict,
genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement
●
address the harmful effects of patriarchy to ensure community centered mental
health is grounded in dignity, joy, solidarity and social and land justice.
