As a global charitable foundation supporting research to improve health, Wellcome views the adoption of a strong resolution on global health financing as timely and crucial.

Recent political and financial shifts present an unprecedented challenge to global health, but also an opportunity for significant reform.

In particular, we must seize this moment to better align global health financing with country-led trajectories to UHC, as set out in the Lusaka Agenda.

Delivering the ambition of the resolution will require coherent action from a breadth of partners. Crucially, we must look beyond health, forging links with finance leaders who are too often absent from health financing discussions. Together we can build a more efficient, effective, and equitable global health system.

Wellcome stands ready to support this evolution through collective dialogue and joint action, as envisaged in this critical resolution.
