We express major concern for the influence of the Big Tech industry in several agenda items, especially when many companies are headquartered in a non-WHO member. It is unclear how outcomes from this agenda item apply to them.
The development of a culturally sensitive, environmentally friendly and needs-based set of digital health solutions demands developing regulation and a digital public stack independent from big corporations and led by states with international collaboration. Health data in particular should be taken as a common good that cannot be appropriated by a handful of private actors.
