79th WHA Individual Statements

Agenda Item:
- Group 10: Health Conditions (OPT & Golan)
Statement:

17.2 - Health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territory, including east Jerusalem

IPPF's Member Association in Palestine, the Palestinian Family Planning and Protection Association, shares the following:

"Every day we see the human cost of this crisis — families displaced and torn apart, healthcare stretched beyond breaking, and dignity threatened daily.
As the only local NGO solely focused on sexual and reproductive health and rights in Palestine, PFPPA stands with women, girls, and couples losing access to safe childbirth, contraception, emergency care after sexual and gender-based violence, and continuity of lifesaving treatments.

We urgently call on all parties to protect health workers, facilities, and humanitarian operations; and on donors to fund immediate, sustained SRHR delivery — medicines, supplies, and support for local staff.

PFPPA cannot do this alone. We need protection, funding, and solidarity now."

IPPF stands with PFPPA. We remind Member States of their responsibility to protect healthcare and uphold international law.
