We welcome the Executive Board’s recognition of the importance of the NTD Road Map 2021–2030, including the integration of NTD services into primary health care and universal health coverage. We are deeply concerned, however, that declining and uncertain donor financing for NTDs risks reversing hard-won gains and undermining country progress at a time when challenges like climate change and health system constraints risk increasing disease burden. We urge Member States and partners to safeguard and sustain financing, capacity building, and technical support for NTDs to prevent backsliding and ensure that the goals of eliminating Neglected Tropical Diseases remain achievable for the communities most affected.
