We support the stance of the many governments and institutions who have spoken in defence of equity, transparency and fair sharing mechanisms as a basis for the PABS annex.

There cannot be an effective pandemic preparedness prevention and response framework without a shared understanding of how to address existing disparities in access to health technologies, which are themselves rooted in imbalances in R&D and production.

It is not only a matter of urgency but also of justice and solidarity that a workable text is agreed upon, going beyond vague platitudes and bare minimum mandate.
