Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, in particular low back pain and arthritis, are the leading contributors to disability worldwide and place an economic burden on health systems and societies. Despite this, the 2025 Political Declaration on Noncommunicable Diseases does not sufficiently recognize the impact of MSK conditions on mobility and functional ability across the life course, including contributions to physical inactivity, obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, and the relevance of MSK health to Universal Health Coverage. Representing over 100,000 chiropractors worldwide, the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) supports optimizing musculoskeletal health and intrinsic capacity across all ages. The WFC respectfully urges Member States to integrate MSK health within national NCD strategies. We stand ready to support Member States with technical collaboration in advancing MSK health and mobility within their NCD programs. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
