Agenda Item:
- Item 28. Updates and future reporting: strengthening integrated, people-centred health services
Statement:

Over half the world lacks radiology, impacting diagnosis and treatment of cancer, heart disease, infections, trauma, maternal-infant complications, and much more. RAD-AID brings radiology to low-resource areas by delivering education, equipment, infrastructure, and support. Diagnostic radiology is crucial for integrated, people-centred health coverage. It ensures accurate, early diagnoses for effective treatments and supports personalized care. Radiology enhances health system efficiency by reinforcing precise diagnoses and minimizing unnecessary procedures. Investing in radiology, including portable and tele-radiology solutions, ensures equitable access to high-quality care, especially in underserved areas. Access to radiology is vital for implementing standard-of-care medicine. To achieve our healthcare goals, integrating robust radiology services is essential for providing high-quality, equitable, and efficient care.
