Agenda Item:
- Group 1.2. Items 11.3, 11.4 and 11.5
Statement:

Honourable Chair, distinguished Delegates,

It is an honour to speak on behalf of the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) that represents more than 500.000 pharmaceutical students and recent graduates worldwide.

We are acutely cognisant of the multifaceted challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and geopolitical challenges, all of which impede the progress of IA2030. Notably, the resurgence of outbreaks, particularly measles, and the increasing number of unvaccinated children underscore the urgency of collective action.

Therefore, IPSF calls Member States to:
Integrate pharmacists in immunization initiatives to facilitate effective vaccine administration and patient education.
Implement multi-stakeholder collaboration to implement catch-up vaccination programmes for children who missed vaccinations, especially in low and middle-income countries.
Invest in infrastructure, strengthen supply chains, and enhance the capacity of the healthcare workforce to support the delivery of immunisation services.
