Agenda Item:
- Group 4: SDGs & Digital Health
Statement:

Chair, distinguished delegates,

We welcome the report and emphasize that achieving the 2030 Agenda requires progressing several SDGs that address the multidimensional challenges of 300 million PLWRD worldwide.

Indeed, ensuring health for all includes PWRD, living with rare diseases puts patients / families at risk of impoverishment and hinder access to quality education, which negatively impacts finding a decent work. Women are disproportionately impacted, as patients or as primary caregivers. To reduce inequalities, the needs of the rare disease community must be addressed.

We also recognize that rare diseases represent an area of great potential for scientific innovation.

Only partnering for the goals will achieve UHC for rare diseases, Leave Noone Behind, and advance equitable health systems and sustainable development for all.

Thank you.
