We commend WHO work and all health and public health workers in the occupied Palestinian territory.

Every day, Oxfam is witnessing serious violations of international humanitarian law by the Israeli occupation, including a pattern of attacks against the healthcare and public health system in Gaza. The damage and destruction of over 40% of Oxfam's water projects, has negative impact on access to water and sanitation, and the population’ health -contributing to rampant outbreaks of deadly diseases like Hepatitis A.

Attacks which target objects indispensable to the survival of the civilian population are illegal and are contributing to the starvation of Palestinians. Over 35,000 Palestinians and over 1000 Israelis have been killed. Member states should press to enforce an immediate, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire. Oxfam urges Member States not to be complicit in this horror and suspend all arms exports and military support to all parties in this conflict.
