We condemn the ongoing occupation and targeting of healthcare facilities in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem and the Syrian Golan. The destruction of hospitals, obstruction of aid, and targeting of health workers are not collateral—they are war crimes. As of today, no food has entered Gaza since March 2025 due to the blockade imposed by the Occupying Force. We remind MS: starvation as a weapon of war is illegal. The defunding of UNRWA deepens the catastrophe. UNRWA is the only body that grants refugee status to Palestinians, making their existence essential. Occupation, apartheid and war are social determinants of health. We call on Member States to enforce an immediate ceasefire, work towards ending the occupation, fully fund UNRWA, and pursue accountability for violations of international law.
