International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation
156th EB Individual Statements
Honourable Chair, Distinguished Delegates,
IPSF, representing over 500,000 pharmacy students and recent graduates, recognises the importance of governance reform and the meaningful participation of NSA in WHO’s decision-making processes.
IPSF commends WHO’s efforts to enhance NSA participation through initiatives such as constituency statements, the Civil Society Commission, the Youth Council and informal pre-meetings. IPSF further calls for:
1. Clearer guidelines and early access to agenda items.
2. Greater flexibility on the range of agenda items that can be considered for constituency statements.
3. Meaningful youth engagement with global platforms for discussion, as well as formation of youth councils in all regions of WHO.
We urge WHO to strengthen NSA participation under FENSA and the Fourteenth General Programme of Work to ensure policies reflect community needs and uphold transparency in decision-making.
Thank you.
