Thank you for the opportunity to speak on behalf of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) the global organisation representing over 5.5 million pharmacists, pharmacy educators and pharmaceutical scientists worldwide.

Achieving mental health for all is essential to achieving universal health coverage and resilient, people-centred health systems. FIP urges Member States to explicitly integrate pharmacists into national mental health policies and service delivery models. As one of the most accessible healthcare professionals, pharmacists can advance mental health promotion, early identification, safe and appropriate use of medicines, and timely referral—helping to reduce stigma and expand access, particularly in underserved communities.

We also call for urgent action to safeguard the mental well-being of the health workforce, including pharmacists, through safe and supportive working environments.

Strengthening the pharmacy workforce is key to leaving no one behind in mental health care.
