Thank you for the opportunity to speak on behalf of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), the global organisation representing over four million pharmacists worldwide.

Pharmacists are essential to advancing women’s, children’s, and adolescents’ health by ensuring the availability and responsible use of medicines, expanding access to immunisation and sexual and reproductive health services, providing health education, and strengthening the access to primary health care to address inequities. FIP Development Goal 10: Equity and Equality, and the FIP EquityRx programme underpin and guide these contributions.

We call on Member States to fully integrate pharmacists into national health strategies to drive improved and equitable health outcomes for women, children, and adolescents globally.
