The International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations is deeply concerned by the worsening global health workforce crisis. As medical students we witness firsthand the strain on our systems and the urgent need for action.

We urge Member States to:
- Ensure decent working conditions for all health workers, including fair remuneration, safe working environments, mental health support, and protection from violence.
- Adopt ethical international recruitment practices following the WHO Global Code, and support bilateral agreements that promote circular migration and capacity strengthening in source countries.
- Include youth and early-career professionals in policy-making, from workforce planning to governance at national and global levels.

Medical students worldwide are ready to contribute to sustainable health workforce solutions, but we need your commitment to protect and invest in us.
