IADR echoes the concern raised in the Director General’s Report that progress toward Immunization Agenda 2030 targets remains off track. HPV vaccination for both girls and boys should be strengthened as part of adolescent immunization and cancer prevention, including prevention of HPV-related oral and oropharyngeal cancers. Closing HPV vaccination gaps requires integrating immunization into primary health care, school-based and community platforms, as well as universal health coverage.

IADR also welcomes continued attention to the road map for neglected tropical diseases 2021–2030. We call on Member States to strengthen noma prevention and control through sustainable financing, workforce capacity building, research investment, and surveillance systems that support early detection, timely referral, treatment, and rehabilitation within primary health care.
