Over the past 30 years, Cochrane has been dedicated to producing high-quality, synthesized health evidence to inform decision making.

Cochrane welcomes the Draft Global Action Plan on Climate Change and Health and applauds calls to respond to climate change's multiple intersecting impacts on human health.

Access to high-quality, synthesised evidence to inform decision making is vital in addressing these challenges.

Although the climate‐health research base is growing rapidly, the current literature is dominated by impact studies, with few studies focusing on effective responses to climate change, such as:

• adaptation in health care and public health responses to the effects of climate on health outcomes
• enhancing resilience in health services, and;
• interventions to mitigate the climate impacts of health care
