Description

Ziel dieses Gesetzes ist es, die Gesundheit von Kindern zu fördern und den Kinderschutz zu
verbessern. Dazu soll erreicht werden, dass Kinder in größerem Maß als bisher an
Gesundheitsuntersuchungen zur Früherkennung von Krankheiten teilnehmen, die ihre körperlicheoder geistige Entwicklung in nicht geringfügigem Maß gefährden. Zur Verbesserung des Kinderschutzes werden den örtlichen Trägern der öffentlichen Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Daten derKinder zur Verfügung gestellt, die nicht untersucht worden sind. Die zuständige Behörde lädt die gesetzlichen Vertreterinnen oder Vertreter der Kinder, die in Niedersachsen mit der alleinigen Wohnung oder mit der Hauptwohnung gemeldet sind, schriftlich ein,die Kinder an Früherkennungsuntersuchungen teilnehmen zu lassen.

The purpose of this law is promoting the health of children and to improve child protection in Lower Saxony. In this context, the law stipulates that more children need to take part in early detection examinations for illnesses that would endanger their physical or mental development. To improve the protection of children, local children and youth welfare will be provided with data on children who have not taken part in these examinations. The legal representatives of the children will be asked to take their child to the relevant examinations.
