1.1.1 GoalTo reduce newborn and under five mortality and improve child and adolescent health in order to
achieve MDG4.
1.1.2 Objectives
To improve access to and utilization of a package of strategic interventions for child survival,
particularly in the areas of greatest need; and
To provide an enabling environment for child survival where political will, financial and human
resources match the burden of disease.
