Tiene por objeto el fortalecimiento institucional para la protección y promoción de los derechos de la niñez y adolescencia, a través de la consolidación de las bases y principios rectores para el funcionamiento del Sistema de Protección Integral de la Niñez y la Adolescencia.This law creates the National Secretariat for Children, Youth and Family which is aimed at “capacity building for the protection and promotion of the rights of children and adolescents, through the consolidation of the foundation and guiding principles for the functioning of the System of Comprehensive Protection of Children and Adolescents.” This law also specifies the rights of protection for children and adolescents and that they should be free from the threat and violence and have the opportunity to exercise the full range of human rights.
