Description

The Annual Corporate Plan outlines youth empowerment and pinpoints livelihood which is inclusive of life skills training programs for youths. We anticipate that these programmes will empower unemployed youths to create better opportunities for themselves. The ministry has fully utilized its limited and scarce resources and will continue to do so. Sports as we all know; unites Fijians. It is a medium of restoring patriotism amongst our people and thus investments to our sports programmes has been evidently valuable. Improving the standard of sports participation for all Fijians is crucial in addressing lifestyle diseases and particularly in maintaining a healthy, vibrant population. As such, steps have been taken to ensure inclusivity of our disabled citizens and this will be evident through their inclusion to enhance holistic development. The Ministry will continue to assist the Fiji National Sports Commission to enhance the delivery of sports programmes in Fiji. We will strive to achieve the best in both sectors – youth and sports development in total partnership with all stakeholders involved to ensure maximum results for 2015.
