Description
South African Human Rights Commission Act (Act No. 40 of 2013)This Act intends to provide for the composition, powers, functions and functioning of the South African Human Rights Commission; to provide for the repeal of the Human Rights Commission Act, 1994; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
The objects of the Commission are:
a) to promote respect for human rights and a culture of human rights;
b) to promote the protection, development and attainment of human rights; and
c) to monitor and assess the observance of human rights in the Republic.
