Description

This strategic framework against poverty is based on a highly participatory process and is the benchmark document for formulating economic and social policies. This framework constitutes the country's development plan in the medium and long-term and aims to eradicate poverty as a national imperative, prioritised in all national policies.

The PRSP provides the framework to guide public policy development and ensures the coherence of these policies for the purpose of achieving the objectives of poverty reduction and improvement of living conditions of populations. It is a tool and a framework for consultation with development partners to obtain their commitment to achieving the development goals set by the government as well as performance and impact indicators.
