Law No. 1410 deals comprehensively with the situation of persons with disabilities. It intends to define the concept of disability, taking into consideration the practical consequences resulting from the substantial definitive or at least long term alteration of one or more physical, sensory, mental, cognitive or psychic function of the person, in his interaction with his living environment.

This text seeks to define measures of any kind (human, technical or animal) to ensure greater independence of the disabled person in accordance with his life project.

Des dispositions sont désormais instaurées pour reconnaître le statut de l’aidant familial.
