Description

The law on the internment of persons is a law that simultaneously seeks to protect the society and the person with mental disorder. Moreover, this law ensures that the care the person needs is provided while also considering his/her reintegration into the society.

Given the risk to the safety and the state of health of the internee, the person will be offered the care he/she needs to live a life in accordance with human dignity. This care should enable the internee to reintegrate into society and is provided - when indicated and feasible - through a pathway of care adapted to the internee.
