Description

This law, in accordance with the Plan of Action adopted by the UN in Madrid in 2002, at the conclusion of the Second World Assembly on Aging, and the National Plan on Health and Social protection, promotes the well-being and aims to prevent states of discomfort, disease and marginalization of older people with positive actions. The law raises the quality and efficiency of services and benefits, guarantees personalized response to the needs, in full respect of the differences, enhances the participation of the elderly.

This law also protects the rights of the elderly residents in semi-public and private nursing homes.


La presente legge, in conformità al Piano d’Azione dell’ONU adottato a Madrid nel 2002, a conclusione della Seconda Assemblea Mondiale sull’Invecchiamento, ed al Piano Sanitario e Socio Sanitario Nazionale, tutela il rispetto, promuove il benessere e mira a prevenire gli stati di disagio, di malattia e di emarginazione delle persone anziane con azioni positive, elevando la qualità e l’efficienza dei servizi e delle prestazioni che, a partire dalla risposta personalizzata ai bisogni, nel pieno rispetto delle differenze, valorizzino la partecipazione ed il protagonismo degli anziani.

La presente legge tutela i diritti degli anziani ospiti in strutture residenziali e semiresidenziali, pubbliche e private.
